The brief: Imagine a society 300 years in the future, build from the detritus of a former civilization.
The year is 2375. It’s been three-hundred years since the cataclysmic nuclear war - a long-dreaded nightmare of “Mutually Assured Destruction” at the hands of AI-powered fake-news, AI-powered missiles, and fascist, white-supremacist dictators. This fateful event occurred during a backdrop of an exponentially unpredictable climate crisis (with near-constant natural disasters and infrastructural collapse), an ever-growing collective artificial intelligence controlling human behavior across many systems and mediums, and the spread of increasingly deadly pathogens that wiped out hundreds of thousands to millions of people at a time. The global population went from over eight billion people to less than one billion from 2025 to
2080, most of which changed from 2075 (the year of MAD) to 2080.
One archipelago (from here referred to tentatively as “Kintana Telo”) off the west coast of Africa, near Madagascar, became a secret sanctuary land, where 300 years after collapse, life thrived.
