Fictional Playscape: Reimagining Themed Playgrounds in Los Angeles examines playgrounds as constructed environments designed by adults within the everyday city. Through a photobook and experimental documentary, the project studies how these spaces relate to their surrounding communities and what is simplified, exaggerated, or left out in the process. It questions how play environments shape memory and identity, and asks what kinds of experiences, values, and narratives should be represented and carried forward in spaces designed for children.
