The computers in these labs have the same software available in the SCI Labs. To use a workstation, arrive during open hours and present your USC ID. You will be required to trade your USC ID for access to a computer.

The schedule for the SCA Production Labs is available on the SCA Knowledgebase. Use your SCA Lab Account to access the schedule here.

Other USC Computer Labs

USC has 3 computing centers available for all students. These centers are located in King’s Hall, Leavey Library and Waite Phillips Hall. Most computers will have partial installs of Adobe Creative Cloud and may not have any video editing tools. These centers also have black and white printers available for students to use.

The most up-to-date information on hours, software and locations for all USC Computing Centers is available here.

Lab Policies

The MA+P computer lab and classrooms are common spaces intended for use by the entire MA+P community. With that in mind, we ask you to please be respectful of the MA+P faculty and your fellow students.

  • Unless you have formally booked a lab for a private meeting, be prepared to share it with others who need it.
  • Do not bring food or drink into the labs.
  • Do not sleep in the labs.
  • Files left on the Desktop will NOT BE SAVED on logout.
  • Computers reset every night for scheduled maintenance.
  • When you are finished, leave the room better than you found it.

Following these guidelines will help us to maintain a safe, supportive and collegial learning environment.

Lab Security

If you have card access to the lab and classrooms, please do not let other people into the spaces. If someone has a legitimate reason for being there, they would have card access already.

If you see any suspicious behavior in the SCA buildings or labs, or any behavior that violates the SCA Code of Conduct, please call SCA Operations at (213) 740-2892 to report it. If there is an emergency situation, call the USC department of Public Safety IMMEDIATELY at 213-740-4321 (or 213-740-6000 for non-emergency).
